After your unanimous decision to have STGA not to be affiliated to MTGC just 19 days ago. We have tried our very best to follow up and bring progress to our members as fast a possible.
To all our members especially those members who were outstation as well as our friends in Sandakan and the rest in the east coast, mountain and interior. we hope this simplified version of a progress report will give you better idea of the exciting days ahead, possibilities and opportunities.

Result : UNANIMOUSLY decide NOT to be affiliated with MTGC
Note : This is just a process to decide and put an action plan for our next step. minutes of EGM meeting yet to be submitted to ROS. We have also inform MTGC , KEPKAS, Sabah Tourism and MOTOUR of our intention to be not affiliated.
2. Forum (STGA – Moving Forward )
Date : 24 June 2012
The steps for STGA Development Plan prepared by EXCO were welcomed and accepted. EXCO have requested for volunteers among members and will initiate a Project Development Team to assist with the completion of the development plan and its implementation.

STGA received invitation letter from WFTGA to be an affiliated member.
We aim to complete and send the application this week.
After a positive meeting on the 26th June 2012 with KEPKAS, Sabah Tourism and MOTOUR. We are now waiting for response from MOTOUR , to know if they will continue issue the TG Badge and CTRE CODE. We aim to get the response by early next week and to proceed with our action plan.
SKILLS MALAYSIA made a courtesy visit to STGA EXCO on 27th June 2012. After explaining our challenges and development plan,
SKILLS MALAYSIA will be working closely with STGA to assist the development for more TG Certified Trainers and support the set up of STGA Tourism institute.
Members, although within the same period of time few of your elected EXCO resigned due to work commitment. Their post was quickly filled up by willing volunteers, endorsed by EXCO.
I am sure you are also aware of STGA Temporary Secretariat Office as well as the appointment of STGA Secretariat Assistant Ms Neena. We aim to have an office telephone line by next week for your members and association convenience.
We have also got MOTOUR SABAH agreed to allow license renewal without Chairman Signatory and Stamp on the Authorization Card Renewal Form, however you need to ensure that you have the STGA membership renewal receipt. We aim reduce bureaucracy where and as much as possible. We wish to thank MOTOUR SABAH for the cooperation.
