Another great day to start! We have done our trial walk with Sabah Tourism Board on 11 June, at 9 a.m.
The Free Guided City Walking Tour takes approximately two hours to complete from the mighty historical STB building, passing through former Social Welfare Dept Building, Australian Place, Signal Hill, Atkinson Clock Tower, Gaya Street, Segama, Pasar Besar, Handicraft Market, Kadaiku – Sabah’s Souvenirs and Handicrafts, and back to where we started.
The Tour Guides of the day are Joseph Ho and Alvin Chin during the trial walk.
The main purpose of this project – ‘Free Guided City Walking Tour’ is to promote Sabah and to attract as well as to encourage more English Speaking visitors and tourists to participate and to explore our beautiful Kota Kinabalu City, through this walking tour. However, this tour is still in the planning stages, and the official launching would be expected to held before the end of this month. If everything goes on smoothly, the tour will start every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Fellow STGA English Speaking members who would like to share your knowledge and love for Sabah, please donβt hesitate to sign up with us, and be the Guide of the Day!
The Free Guided City Walking Tour is organised by Sabah Tourism Board (STB), in collaboration with Sabah Tourist Guides Association (STGA).
By the way did you notice the pink vest with our logo? Thank you STB for making this happen!
